01 — About
I started as a developer at an agency, building for Pfizer, Janssen, Novartis and IEEE, and spent fourteen years learning how to ship under real constraints. A stint at Darden put me on high-volume consumer software. Since 2021 I've been at Zelis, where healthcare claims move at a scale that makes every decision about reliability a decision about people.
Today I own engineering strategy, delivery and operational excellence for three global teams... architecture, roadmap, on-call, career growth. I founded Zelis' first design language system because consistency compounds, and I now lead the AI and OCR platform work reshaping how claims get reviewed.
What I look for next: an organization where platform, AI and people strategy sit in the same room, and where someone has to be accountable for all three.

Technical program lead for three global teams building proprietary OCR with ML, GenAI and LLMs; turning manual claims review into an assisted workflow.

Founded and scaled Zelis' first design language system, standardizing UI across product lines and giving every team a shared vocabulary.

Migrated legacy client portals to enterprise RBAC and SSO (SailPoint, MFA and federated identity governance) without interrupting client operations.

Technical lead for high-volume to-go ordering and a core contributor to the Online Ordering 2.0 redesign, in React and Next.js.
03 — How I lead
i.
Monitoring, release discipline and incident practice come before velocity. Teams move fastest when they trust production.
ii.
Shared systems (design, API, identity) turn individual effort into organizational speed that survives reorgs and turnover.
iii.
The clearest measure of a manager is how many people left the team more capable than they arrived. I plan for that on purpose.
iv.
In regulated domains, models are only useful inside a workflow people trust. Start with the operator, then the model.
