300 Pages of an iPhone Bill

It’s about that time now where people are getting their first bill from AT&T for their new, shiny iPhone. What a better way than to send them pages of details with their mobile phone activity!

Phone owners getting their first AT&T wireless bills have been posting videos and complaining on message forums about bills as thick as Moby Dick that detail every call, every text message, every moment spent on the EDGE network.

One iPhone user posted a video on YouTube showing her 300 page bill.

“We can always give people a summary bill,” said AT&T spokesman Mark Siegel. “It’s little more than what you owe this month. And there’s always the online option, too, which means you never get a paper bill.”

All I’m wondering is why didn’t AT&T figure this was going to happen and automatically switch to the summary bill? People don’t care about every minute they spent on the EDGE network. It’s an unlimited data plan fellas, come on now.
